Job Summary

As an Oral Health Therapist with Adult Scope, you will provide dental therapy and hygiene care to patients within your formally attained scope of practice.

The ideal candidate will have sound clinical and diagnostic skills, a preventative approach to patient care, and excellent communication skills. They will also be proficient in computer systems and clinical software, and possess a current unrestricted drivers' license.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide dental therapy and hygiene care to patients within your scope of practice.
  • Utilize sound clinical and diagnostic skills to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and maintain a preventative approach to patient care, promoting population health and well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Operate computer systems, clinical software, and hardware efficiently, maintaining accurate records and managing electronic patient files.
Requirements
  1. Current registration with AHPRA as a Dental Therapist or Oral Health Therapist.
  2. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to a preventative/population health approach to patient care.
  3. Evidence of continued professional development in evidence-based dentistry.
  4. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively and sensitively with diverse individuals.
  5. Proficiency in computer systems, word processing software, and clinical software/hardware, including electronic patient records and digital imaging.
  6. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, possessing strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  7. Current unrestricted drivers' license and ability to maintain it.
