About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Planner – New Build to join our team at Hitachi. As a key member of our Wacol Branch, you will be responsible for delivering new machines on time and to a quality standard, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage the New Machine build schedule, prioritizing tasks based on Sales department requirements
  • Process parts orders, purchase orders, and supplier invoices, ensuring timely and accurate completion
  • Manage workflow through contractors, effectively communicating customer requirements and ensuring seamless delivery
  • Engage and onboard new suppliers, ensuring inductions are completed and all necessary documentation is provided
  • Monitor production progress, modifying schedules as needed to meet delivery targets
  • Procure and manage the supply of parts and resources, maintaining sufficient inventory to meet build volume requirements
  • Implement new processes and improve current planning practices to deliver forecast targets
  • Adhere to the company's WHS policy, identifying opportunities for improvement
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering results
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy, with a focus on quality delivery
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
  • Identification of continuous improvements within your area of responsibility, with a willingness to adapt and evolve
