About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Officer to join our Financial Accounting team in a core transactional and processing role. If finance is your passion and you enjoy working with large data sets, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Reconciling high-volume weekly store POS cash/EFT transactions for multiple stores, liaising with restaurants and managers as needed
  • Preparing allocated weekly/monthly journals
  • Preparing allocated general ledger balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting in the review of periodic stock counts to ensure integrity
  • Staff reimbursement processing and review
  • Providing cover and support to other members of the team
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Tertiary qualification (or near completion) in Accounting, Commerce, Business, or a related discipline
  • Previous experience in a similar Finance Officer/Assistant Accountant type position, with demonstrated experience in supporting monthly accounting processes and working with an ERP General Ledger
  • Advanced MS Office skills, predominantly within Excel, with the ability to work with large sets of data
  • Ability to use initiative and add value to the greater Finance team, and to take ownership of work
  • Ability to demonstrate strong reliability, organisation, prioritisation, and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high levels of accuracy
  • Professional communication (written and verbal) and people skills
  • Strong time management and ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines
