Fire Services Technician

About the Role:

Maintaining fire suppression systems on a significant mining fleet in Queensland is crucial for protecting people and assets. The system must be in exceptional condition to prevent machine fires.

The role involves maintaining these systems to the highest standard, adopting a cost-effective approach while ensuring quality work and building productive professional relationships with site personnel.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Maintain fire suppression systems to the highest standard.
  • Work across multiple sites, providing consistent quality work.
  • Make recommendations for maintenance improvements.
  • Stay updated with technical and product changes.
  • Perform adhoc inspections and repairs during spare time on site.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will bring :

  • Certificate 2 in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing.
  • A current driver's license (Standard 11 certification is desirable).
  • A proactive attitude toward safety and commitment to fostering a positive safety culture.
  • Effective communication with suppliers, subcontractors, clients, and internal personnel.
  • Responsible operation of a vehicle on public roads.
