The Opportunity

We are seeking a Financial Services Risk Management Specialist to join our team in Australia, focusing on Data Risk, Reporting and Transformation.

You will collaborate with risk management professionals, quantitative analysts, technologists, and former regulators across leading financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Interpret regulatory requirements across various programs, driving informed decision-making.
  2. Develop broad experience in risk analytics and reporting, leveraging large datasets.
  3. Support delivery across regulatory transformation programs, ensuring projects meet standards and timelines.
  4. Provide insights and analytics to stakeholders, informing them about regulatory changes.
  5. Design and implement data management capabilities to support risk management.
  6. Contribute to business development initiatives, supporting the transformation of risk functions.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  1. 1+ years' experience in Risk Analytics within Financial Services or related fields.
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage clients and present effectively.
  3. Proven success in maintaining long-term client relationships and networks, with potential for business development opportunities.
  4. Ability to manage conflicting priorities, track project timelines and budgets, and motivate diverse teams.
  5. Experience with Australian and/or international regulatory frameworks, including prudential supervision and risk data management.
  6. Working knowledge of coding languages desirable (e.g. SAS, Python, SQL, VBA etc.).
  7. Self-motivated, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn and contribute to a dynamic team.
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ideal Qualifications
  1. Graduate degree in finance, commerce, law, STEM, or similar, with post-graduate qualifications or additional study viewed favourably.
