About the RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity to work with our customers on various specific initiatives, including architecture, deployment, troubleshooting, and performance of Red Hat Infrastructure technologies.
Key Responsibilities:- Serve as a trusted adviser for Red Hat engineers and project and technical managers to deliver and implement the right solutions for our customers.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on site, addressing customer technical, development, and IT issues and needs.
- Learn new technologies and apply those concepts to customer needs.
- Adapt to changing customer requirements.
- Manage technical problem identification and resolution, support system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of open source solutions.
- Participate in internal initiatives, create consulting white papers, and update the knowledge base.
- Keep stakeholders updated on issues that may affect project or company performance.
- Respond to incidents, escalations, and exceptions, and handle sensitive conversations in a professional manner.
- 5+ years of experience working with enterprise customers on a range of development and deployment projects.
- Experience with UNIX or Linux database administration and tuning.
- Extensive knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Extensive knowledge of other Infrastructure products including the following technologies Ansible / Ansible Tower Satellite Authentication services such as IdM/IPA Virtualisation technologies.
- Extensive knowledge of Linux Security Practices and tools to address common criteria.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, project management, and planning skills.
- Practical experience with or knowledge of python, perl and/or shell scripting language(s).
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification, or willingness to pursue certification within 90 days.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Australian Government security clearance.
The estimated annual salary for this position is AU$120,000 - AU$150,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
