Learning Support Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students with learning difficulties.

Our school is a forward-thinking and culturally diverse institution that provides a quality educational experience for students from Kinder to Year 12. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, we offer an inclusive environment where every student can thrive.

The Learning Enhancement and Program Support (LEAPS) Department provides learning enrichment and support for students throughout the College. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will collaborate with teachers, students, and other support staff to form a multi-disciplinary approach to supporting students and their learning needs.

As a member of our school community, you will play a vital role in ensuring that each student receives the necessary support to facilitate their active participation in school and classroom activities. Your support will make a lasting impact on their educational journey.

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

• A minimum Certificate III or Certificate IV in Education Support, or be prepared to study towards one
• Passion for supporting students with disabilities
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, students, and other support staff
• High level communication and interpersonal skills
• Good administrative and Microsoft Office 365 skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education
• Willingness to get involved in all aspects of the College's programs and opportunities

A Working with Children's Check, and a police check less than three months old are mandatory prior to being hired. A First Aid Certificate and Anaphylaxis Certificate are also required prior to starting in the role.
