Education Support Assistant

The Education Support Assistant will provide essential support to teachers and students in a classroom setting, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all.

  • Assist with planning student routines and provide basic physical care and wellbeing support
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and students on routine matters related to students' needs and responsibilities
  • Supervise individuals or groups of up to 4 students within a classroom setting while maintaining a clear focus on student outcomes
  • Support the coordination of educational programs, including rostering and organizing work for a team of aides, providing guidance and support to other student support staff
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides routine support for teachers and students in a classroom setting
  • Supports communication between teachers and parents to ensure effective collaboration and student success
  • Coordinates educational programs independently or under minimal supervision, including rostering and organizing the work of a team of aides

A successful Education Support Assistant will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will be committed to providing high-quality support to teachers and students, and contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture.

This role requires a minimum of three years' experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults, preferably in an educational setting. Relevant qualifications and training are also highly desirable.
