Job Overview

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the safe movement of buses and trucks within a yard setting.

  • Assist the workshop team with vehicle licencing requirements.
  • Perform minor mechanical tasks as needed.
  • Coordinate detailing and final vehicle preparations.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to meet movement targets.
  • Participate in local part runs when applicable.
  • Transport trucks to various suppliers.
  • Occasionally deliver trucks to metro or regional customer sites.
  • Assist the workshop with basic road testing.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:

  • Previous experience in a similar position.
  • A background in mechanical repairs would be advantageous.
  • Mechanical aptitude and interest.
  • A current and valid HR licence.
  • A forklift licence would be highly desirable, although not essential.
  • A strong commitment to health and safety in the workplace.
  • A positive and proactive approach to your work.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously with high attention to detail.
