Truck Centre (WA) is WA's sole Mack, UD and Volvo Truck Specialist Dealership with 8 branches statewide.
The RoleTruck Centre (WA) are currently seeking an experienced Yard Person/Driver to join our busy Bus and Truck Workshop in Kewdale. This role involves the safe movement of buses and trucks around the yard, and will include:
- Assisting the Workshop and Sales teams with vehicle licencing requirements
- Minor mechanical jobs
- Co-ordinating detailing and final vehicle preparations
- Working within a team to meet movement targets
- Local part runs when applicable
- Movement of trucks to various suppliers
- Occasional truck delivery to metro/regional customer sites
- Assist workshop with basic road testing
- Ad hoc duties as required
To be considered for this opportunity you must be able to demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a similar position
- Experience with mechanical repairs would be advantageous
- Mechanical interest and aptitude
- Current and valid HR licence
- Forklift licence (highly desirable but not essential)
- Strong commitment to health and safety in the workplace
- Positive and proactive approach to work
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously with high attention to detail
