Job Description

We are seeking an early career Consultant or Senior Consultant to support the fast-growing demand for Climate Change & Net-Zero Strategy in the APAC region.

This role will be in our Climate Change & Net-Zero Strategy team, with a focus on delivering services in line with the upcoming Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards (ASRS).

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work on client project teams, reporting to the project managers and directors for larger projects, as well as acting as the project manager for smaller projects.
  2. Understand and interpret client needs, clearly communicating client goals and overall business objectives to internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Gather data using a range of techniques (interviews, surveys, focus groups, data requests).
  4. Utilise data analysis tools, including Excel, to create tailored reports and, in some cases model and build scenarios.
  5. Lead on the development of presentations and reports for clients that have a clear narrative and help to inform decisions.
  6. Support new business generation through, drafting and developing proposals with oversight from senior team members.
  7. Conduct research, draft articles, deliver presentations and position SLR and yourself as a trusted thought leader in sustainable business.
Requirements
  • Have 2 years or more of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in some aspects climate change strategy, for example:
    • GHG accounting & development of corporate carbon footprints, including Scope 3.
    • Understanding of various net-zero, carbon neutral and other frameworks (including SBTi).
    • Experience developing and implementing decarbonisation strategies.
    • Carbon offsetting & residual emissions strategies.
    • Experience in undertaking climate change risk assessments for organisations, including climate scenario analysis.
  • The candidate would also be expected to have an understanding of the core requirements of the TCFD recommendations and IFRS S2, as well as the developments of the ASRS.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to deliver client-ready presentations.
  • Ability to distil quantitative and qualitative data and communicate it succinctly to clients.
  • Educational qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (Master's Degree preferred).
Estimated Salary

Around $80,000-$100,000 per annum, depending on experience.
