About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to join our team at Schneider Electric. As a Service Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Building Management Systems (BMS) and Security offerings throughout the ACT and surrounding region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing routine maintenance and repairs on BMS and Power Monitoring Systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Responding to system breakdowns and faults in a timely and effective manner.
  • Liaising with colleagues, customers, and customer representatives to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Providing customers with suggestions for system improvements, enhancements, and optimization opportunities.
  • Practicing a high degree of safety awareness to ensure safety requirements are always met.
  • Participating in a rotating on-call roster to ensure 24/7 support.
  • Traveling to customer sites, including overnight stays, as required.
  • Assisting the projects team with onsite commissioning and testing.
Requirements
  • A trade background in Mechanical, Refrigeration, and/or Electrical.
  • Unrestricted or restricted electrical license preferred but not required.
  • A drive for quality and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • A customer-centric approach with a 'can-do' and 'customer-first' attitude.
  • A desire for learning and a willingness to embrace continuous development.
  • A passion for learning new systems and ways of working.
  • Able to obtain an Australian Government Security clearance and working rights in Australia.
  • Australian citizenship required due to security clearance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
  • An understanding of building automation.
  • HVAC experience.
  • Proven knowledge of Basic IT skills.
