Job Description

Schneider Electric is seeking a highly skilled Building Management System (BMS) Service Technician to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our service delivery team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, ensuring the smooth operation of their building management systems.

The Opportunity

As a BMS Service Technician, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from installations and service to maintenance and troubleshooting. You will be working with a variety of customers, including Defence, Shopping Centres, and Commercial Buildings, with a focus on Healthcare, specifically hospitals.

The Day-to-Day

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the breakdown and maintenance of Building Management Systems
  • Demonstrating a high knowledge of products to constantly suggest improvements to our customers
  • Ensuring that excellent service delivery is met and achieved within budget & time constraints
  • Practicing a high degree of safety awareness, to ensure safety requirements are met onsite
  • Participating in on-call duties from time to time, where you may need to work after hours. On-call allowance and overtime payments apply where applicable

You should be forward-thinking, innovative, and willing to share ideas and suggestions to support continuous improvement.

You will be technically skilled in Electrical or Mechanical HVAC or Instrumentation or Controls, knowledgeable in building management systems (BMS), and passionate about finding and implementing energy efficiency solutions. You should also be IT proficient with fault-finding experience and knowledge with network routers, switches, and network hardware.
