We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced educator to lead our Drama and Performing Arts department. As the Head of Drama and Performing Arts, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with the strategic goals of the College.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of a world-class Drama curriculum that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration among students.
- Collaborate with the Head of Learning Area - Performing Arts to set the Drama learning philosophy and framework.
- Develop and deliver new and specialized learning programs that ensure Pymble maintains its reputation for excellence in girls' education.
- Participate in extra-curricular activities, including school productions, and contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Work closely with colleagues to promote a culture of innovation, creativity, and excellence in teaching and learning.
- Experience in a similar role or the readiness to step into one.
- Hold a current NESA accreditation and have an excellent understanding of the NESA syllabus.
- Have the willingness and ability to teach drama and other performing arts subjects.
- Be a positive and collaborative contributor to a successful department committed to improving educational outcomes.
- Have a strong understanding of the application of technology to enhance learning.
- Be a reflective professional engaged in ongoing development and research in relation to Drama and Performing Arts.
- Be committed to supporting student wellbeing and promoting a positive school culture.
