About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Robotics Engineer/Co-ordinator to join our team at Pymble Ladies' College. As a key member of our Robotics department, you will be responsible for designing and developing robotic systems, providing technical assistance, and developing programs and resources for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop robotic systems and provide technical assistance to the College.
  • Develop programs and resources for students and staff, and develop best practice among the team.
  • Stay up-to-date with technical developments in the industry and continually improve engineering processes at the College.
  • Apply skills and objectives within the context of FIRST Robotics Competitions and VEX Competitions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in robotics and automation.
  • Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software systems of robots, including FLL, VEX, FTC, and FRC.
  • Five or more years' experience in FIRST and VEX competitions.
  • In-depth coding knowledge in languages such as Java, Python, C, and C++.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues and problem solve.
  • Experience of pneumatic system integration.
  • Excellent knowledge of CAD/CAM software.
  • Experience in operating Lathes and CNC machines.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams.
  • Willingness to support the ethos and values of the College.
