A Dedicated Nursing Professional

Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in Perioperative Services. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality nursing care and services to patients undergoing surgical and diagnostic operative procedures.

You will assess individual patient needs, plan, implement or coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options. Your expertise will be invaluable in providing health education, counselling and rehabilitation programs to improve the health outcomes of individual patients or groups.

Maintaining cooperative and productive working relationships with all members of the healthcare team is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct comprehensive nursing care and services to patients undergoing surgical and diagnostic operative procedures.
  • Assess individual patient needs and plan, implement or coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options.
  • Provide health education, counselling and rehabilitation programs to improve the health outcomes of individual patients or groups.
  • Consolidate knowledge and skills through continuous professional development and experience.
  • Maintain cooperative and productive working relationships with all members of the healthcare team.
Requirements
  • Be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the relevant Nursing Board.
  • Hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate.
  • Demonstrated competence in nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards.
  • Effective communication skills including problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Skills in scrub/scout, recovery, anaesthetic and gastroenterology nursing are highly desirable.
  • The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and prioritise workloads.
