A newly created trading support position has become available in direct support of a high-performing team of traders focused on ETFs. This role would suit an experienced operations, trade support or middle office professional with at least 3 years' experience within ETFs.

The ideal candidate would have a good understanding of corporate actions and be able to act as liaison between desk traders and other dealers, brokers. They would execute orders per the request of traders and work with ETF traders, operations and external Prime Brokers to ensure trading system parity.

Responsibilities:

  • Compile and reconcile data from electronic trades
  • Examine electronic transactions generated from clearing firm
  • Resolve erroneous and broken trades
  • Assist with maintaining position, P&L and information exchange
  • Update and manage all post computer screens including exchange trading systems, proprietary trading applications, and excel spreadsheets

We are seeking a high-calibre individual who possesses the following competencies:

  • At least 3 years' previous experience in financial services industry and completion of finance/investment related course work
  • Thorough knowledge of equities and ETFs, corporate actions, equity derivatives
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel
  • Ideally Python, VBA, SQL and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written); ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Detail oriented; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be a self-starter, a quick learner, and resourceful in solving problems
  • Ability to move throughout the trading floor as needed

Estimated Salary: AU$80,000 - AU$100,000 per annum, depending on experience
