Job Description: NSWIS Skateboarding Coach
This full-time position works closely with the Skate Australia High Performance Program to develop, implement, and grow a high-performance skateboarding program in NSW. The primary goal is to maximise the potential of NSW athletes by providing expert coaching services for optimal performance at national and international competitions.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with NSWIS scholarship holders and identified talent
• Contribute to coaching Australian athletes at domestic and international events
• Work in a multidisciplinary team to achieve holistic athlete development outcomes
Requirements
• Deep technical understanding of competitive Park and Street skateboarding
• Contemporary knowledge of international performance trends in World Skate and industry-based competitions
• Strong knowledge of elite skateboarding complexities, including competition environments, sponsorship, media, and travel commitments
• Minimum 5 years of skateboarding coaching experience at a national and international level
• Proven success in devising long-term performance planning for young talented and international athletes
Essential Qualifications
• Skateboarding Coach accreditation (SA, ASF or equivalent)
• Current driver's license
• Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
• First Aid and Resuscitation certificate
• Anti-Doping Fundamentals and annual update
• Sport Integrity Australia (PBTR) Child Protection and Safeguarding
Estimated Salary: $120,000 per annum
