Join our team as a Visiting Medical Officer in Emergency Medicine at John Hunter Hospital. This fixed-term 12-month role offers guaranteed rostered weekend and evening VMO shifts (equivalent 3.0 FTE available) in the Emergency Department, providing contemporary specialist care to achieve optimal patient outcomes.We are seeking suitably qualified Consultant Emergency Physicians with a primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA, who hold either Fellowship with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM), OR FRACP Paediatrician with a Specialisation in Emergency Medicine (FRACP PEM).This exciting opportunity provides exposure to a broad range of emergency medicine, including paediatrics, major trauma, critical care, and retrieval services.Our state-of-the-art facilities and cutting-edge technology make this an excellent time to join our hospital.Main Responsibilities:
  • Admitting, consultative, diagnostic, procedural, outpatient, telehealth, and on-call services as required
  • Education & Research – Contribute to training, supervision, and ongoing clinical education within the department
