Job Title: Urgent Care Practice Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our urgent care team. The ideal candidate will have experience in triage within an emergency department, remote nursing, or ICU.

  • Provide high-quality, person-centered care to patients in a dynamic urgent care environment.
  • Conduct comprehensive and accurate nursing triage, and act promptly for any triaged patients requiring emergency escalation or due to deterioration.
  • Perform procedural work such as suturing and plastering, and deliver high-quality care in collaboration with patients, families, carers, and medical practitioners.

The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for people, and a personable approach.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires flexibility and adaptability. The successful candidate will be available evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Triage of all patients who present to urgent care.
  • Providing essential health education to patients.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • An AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Previous experience in triage within an emergency department, remote nursing, or ICU.
  • Strong communication skills.
