Job Description:

Amazon is seeking an experienced Cloud Computing Solutions Architect to join our team. As a key member of our Amazon Web Services (AWS) organization, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities to accelerate the adoption of cloud services by Global 2000 enterprises.

About AWS Managed Services:

AWS Managed Services (AMS) is a new service that provides a platform for IT infrastructure in-the-cloud. Our web services provide a secure, compliant, and scalable environment for businesses to deploy their applications and workloads.

Your Role:

  • Prospect new opportunities within AWS's existing base or net-new accounts.
  • Engage with enterprise customers to discuss their business issues and explore how AWS can help address and resolve these issues.
  • Exhibit proactive ability and astute skills in setting customer discussions via AWS field and partner teams.
  • Manage the adoption cycle of an opportunity and partner with various teams to develop and propose new business.
  • Drive field and partner readiness.
  • Develop a standard market intelligence framework and dynamic analytic model to be utilized by the AWS Field, GTM, and marketing teams.
  • Establish ways to measure and track metrics related to adoption of AMS.
  • Prepare and give business reviews to senior management regarding progress and metrics.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in IT, with a focus on cloud computing and architecture.
  • Proven track record of success in sales and account management.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with ITIL and Enterprise applications.

Salary Estimate:

$140,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
