Job Title: Healthcare Professional - Sexual Health Specialist
The role involves working in a dynamic and collaborative environment to provide high-quality, client-centred care to individuals with Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) and Blood Borne Viruses (BBVs. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive screening, treatment, and management of STIs and BBVs, while promoting sexual wellbeing and public health.
This is an exciting opportunity for registered nurses who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. You will have the chance to work with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement innovative solutions to improve healthcare outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient-centered care to individuals with STIs and BBVs
- Deliver comprehensive screening, treatment, and management of STIs and BBVs
- Promote sexual wellbeing and public health through education and awareness-raising activities
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement innovative solutions to improve healthcare outcomes
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum 3 years Post Graduate experience
- Demonstrated understanding of the sensitive nature of Sexual Health and the importance of confidentiality
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a Multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated competency in Venepuncture
- Accredited Nurse Immuniser or willingness to complete relevant training
- Demonstrated effective communication with patients, clinical and non-clinical staff
