We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Officer to join our finance team. As a key member of our payroll department, you will be responsible for processing our fortnightly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
This is a part-time, permanent role based at our support office in Bundall, working 24 hours per week across Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to become a full-time position in the future.

You will also be responsible for reviewing payroll variances and collaborating with clinics and HR to resolve discrepancies. Additionally, you will assist with payroll projects, time and attendance systems, and process improvements.
Preparation of detailed payroll reports, providing commentary on variances, will be another key aspect of your role. You will maintain accurate employee records in accordance with legislative requirements and provide general payroll support to other departments as needed.

In-depth knowledge and experience of payroll calculation and processing, especially in a multi-site environment, is essential. Proficiency in payroll and time & attendance software, such as Payroll Metrics or Keypay, is also required.
New Zealand payroll experience is highly regarded but not essential. Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and workbook management, are necessary.
You should have strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and accuracy. Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality are also important.
