Procurement Leadership Opportunity

Drive national procurement strategy and supplier relationships across multiple sites.

This is a high-impact, executive-level role offering the opportunity to shape procurement strategy, lead a team, and drive performance across domestic and international supply chains.

Key responsibilities include developing and executing a national procurement strategy aligned with operational and commercial goals, sourcing steel and related materials from domestic and international suppliers, and overseeing import logistics, customs clearance, and national distribution.

The ideal candidate will have senior procurement or supply chain experience in a national manufacturing or industrial setting, strong knowledge of steel grades, specifications, and global sourcing markets, as well as commercial negotiation skills and a network of supplier contacts.

They will also possess a strategic mindset with operational awareness and leadership capability, familiarity with ERP/procurement systems, and tertiary qualifications in supply chain, commerce, engineering, or similar.

  • Develop and execute a national procurement strategy aligned with operational and commercial goals.
  • Sourcing steel and related materials from domestic and international suppliers, including direct negotiations with overseas mills.
  • Oversee import logistics, customs clearance, and national distribution to multiple facilities.
  • Build and maintain supplier networks that deliver quality, compliance, and value.
  • Collaborate with site operation managers to forecast demand and optimise inventory.
  • Lead and mentor procurement and logistics personnel.
  • Implement systems and analytics to improve procurement efficiency, compliance, and reporting.
