Job Description

Young Academics is seeking a passionate educator to support our centre in Dapto. As a Casual Educator, you will provide high-quality, inclusive education and care, assisting educators and ensuring every child feels safe, supported and inspired to learn.

Our centre is a leading provider with centres across New South Wales. We are committed to upholding a Child Safe Organisation and inclusive practices.

As a Casual Educator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Centre Staff in providing high-quality education and care
  • Applying approved learning frameworks (EYLF) to promote each child's identity, connection to community, wellbeing, learning confidence, and communication skills
  • Maintaining a safe environment, proactively managing risks and adhering to health and hygiene protocols
  • Building and maintaining clear and accurate communication within the team, children and families, and nurturing professional, supportive and respectful relationships

About You

  • A minimum of 3-6 months employment in a childcare setting
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, documentation, and implementing programs for children 0-6 years, aligned with current pedagogies and frameworks
  • Holding a completed Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care from a nationally approved registered training organisation or an ACECQA-approved qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS and sector regulations
  • Current First Aid training and CPR Certificate
  • Valid NSW Working with Children Check
  • Commitment to upholding a Child Safe Organisation and inclusive practices
