Patient Access Liaison Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Patient Access Liaison to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Interviewing patients in a fast-paced clinical environment to obtain necessary account information.
  • Communicating effectively with patients and their families, guiding them through the registration process, insurance policies, and healthcare benefits.
  • Ensuring patient brochures/registration documents are presented, explained, and completed accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. To interview patients and gather necessary account information in a timely manner.
  2. To communicate effectively with patients and their families to ensure a smooth registration process.
  3. To present, explain, and complete patient brochures/registration documents accurately.
Requirements:
  1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  2. Post-high school coursework in healthcare, accounting, business, or public relations is preferred.
  3. One year of customer service experience or general office support in any industry is desired.
  4. Experience in registration, insurance verification/pre-certification, financial counseling, and patient accounts is beneficial.
Skills and Qualifications:
  1. The ability to function in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  2. Knowledge of keyboard use and Microsoft Office products.
  3. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  4. Problem-solving skills and the ability to recommend solutions.
Benefits:
