Clinical Access RN Role

The Clinical Access RN is responsible for driving Population Health through clinical access and communication in a call center environment. They are the first point of contact for patients, physicians, and hospital faculty when interacting with the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing patient clinical needs to achieve and/or maintain their health.
  • Evaluating patient medical concerns and initial screening of patient signs and symptoms.
  • Collaborating with the physician's care team to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Guiding members toward and facilitating interaction with resources appropriate for care and well-being.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required; or Associate's degree with BSN within three years of employment.
  • Current license to practice registered nursing in the State of Ohio.
  • Three years recent clinical experience in a physician office, home health, critical care and/or emergency room.
  • Or two years recent critical care clinical experience with previous clinical experience.
