Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Cleaner. As a cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout our facility, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining a clean and hygienic environment throughout the facility, including residents' rooms, communal areas, kitchens, and bathrooms.
  • Replenishing supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
  • Collecting and disposing of waste in accordance with infection control protocols.
  • Washing, drying, ironing, and carefully returning residents' clothing and linens.
  • Reporting any maintenance issues or concerns to the facilities management team.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience as a cleaner, preferably in an aged care or healthcare setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in your work.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a friendly, professional manner.
  • Knowledge of infection control protocols and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
  • A current Police Clearance (less than 6 months).

Working Arrangements

We require our cleaners to work Monday to Sunday between 6am to 6pm, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts as needed. It is recommended that you will have 2 COVID Vaccinations and an up-to-date Flu vaccination.
