At Macquarie, our Financial Management Group plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's capital position and driving strategic decision-making. As a member of our team, you will be part of a dynamic group that advises senior management on balance sheet capacity, cost, risk, and return.

We are seeking an experienced Financial Risk Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our Group Treasury Team to analyze and interpret complex information related to regulatory capital and ratings agency methodologies. You will contribute to the development of policies and practices that inform the strategic direction of Macquarie's capital position.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mind, excellent communication skills, and a desire to learn more about capital management and regulatory frameworks. If you are motivated by working in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for driving real change, we encourage you to apply.

About the Role

This is a full-time position based in Sydney (flexible working arrangements available). We offer a competitive salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, plus a range of benefits including hybrid working arrangements, one wellbeing leave day per year, up to five additional days leave based on length of service, paid volunteer leave, and donation matching.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Group Treasury Team to analyze and interpret complex financial data.
  • Develop and implement policies and practices that inform Macquarie's capital strategy.
  • Work closely with senior management to advise on balance sheet capacity, cost, risk, and return.
  • Contribute to the development of Macquarie's business activities and have exposure to senior management in a non-hierarchical, merit-based environment.
