Education Support Role Overview

The ideal candidate for this Education Support role will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

  • Key responsibilities include providing routine support for teachers, assisting with planning of student routines, supporting communication between teachers and parents, and communicating with teachers on routine matters related to students and/or other responsibilities.
  • Basic physical care and wellbeing support for students includes toileting, meals, and lifting. The successful candidate will also be able to communicate with students to support comprehension of basic tasks and information.
  • Immediate behavioural presentations relating to specific students within a classroom setting must be addressed in alignment with school policy and procedure.
  • Additional duties include providing basic support and supervision for individuals or groups of up to 4 students within a classroom setting, as well as supporting teachers in the coordination of educational programs independently or under minimal supervision.
