Key Responsibilities- Support families, caregivers, and clinical staff to understand how dementia impacts individuals.
- Equip carers and clinicians with skills to prevent and respond to behaviour changes through modelling, coaching, and development of resources including behaviour support planning.
- Synthesise information from observation and written documentation to provide recommendations that are relationship-centred and informed by evidence-based best practice.
- Develop reports that contextualise individual situations and people, effecting change on the ground and improving quality of life for people living with dementia.
- Conduct assessments to understand the holistic experience of individuals and their care networks.
- Work in partnership with stakeholders to build capability across home and aged care sectors.
- Contribute to research, projects, and programs, working innovatively to meet changing sector needs.
- Expertise in supporting people living with dementia.
- Experience in Australian residential and community aged care.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- High-level problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management.
- A current Australian driver's license and willingness to travel.
- Empathy and patience.
