Job Overview

We are seeking an Optical Dispenser to fill a full-time position in Melbourne.

  • The ideal candidate will possess experience in optical dispensing, with a strong focus on customer service and attention to detail.
Daily Responsibilities
  • Assist customers with selecting eyeglass frames and lens options suitable for their prescription.
  • Fit and adjust lenses to eyeglass frames. Dispense eyeglasses and contact lenses.
  • Measure customers' eyes for pupilary distance to determine spectacle placement.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns regarding prescriptions, merchandise, and services.
  • Process sales. Organize and fulfill customer spectacle and contact lens prescriptions.
  • Stock department equipment, merchandise, and supplies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized department environment.
Qualifications
  • Education/Training: High school certificate or higher
  • Licenses/Certifications: None
  • Experience: Cashier or comparable experience
  • Knowledge/Skills: Essential optical experience – Level 4 Optical dispensing preferred.
