Lead Environmental Projects Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Lead Environmental Projects Specialist.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will investigate, develop and implement policies and procedures for environmental assessment of bush fire hazard reduction, specifically in relation to the Bush Fire Environmental Assessment Code.

They will also support the 10/50 Vegetation Clearing Code of Practice and the Rural Boundary Clearing Code.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead teams to deliver land management and/or environmental impact assessment projects
  • Ensure team success, stakeholder engagement and external expectations are managed
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for environmental assessment of bush fire hazard reduction
  • Support the 10/50 Vegetation Clearing Code of Practice and the Rural Boundary Clearing Code

Requirements:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A strong background in environmental management and/or project management
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders and manage external expectations
