**Healthcare Policy Specialist Role**

Job description:

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Policy Specialist to join our team in NSW. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of healthcare policies that promote the health and wellbeing of the people of NSW.

The successful candidate will work within the Economics and Evaluation Unit (EEU), which undertakes analysis and provides economic expertise to support the delivery of NSW Health priority initiatives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing documents including briefing papers, discussion papers, evaluation reports, and submissions to support organisational objectives.
  • Providing high-level advice and support to senior managers to inform business decisions.
  • Conducting project planning, prioritizing, and time management to deliver projects on time.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate contributions to the evaluation process.

The ideal candidate will possess tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent professional experience in areas including health service management and/or economics.

A strong analytical mind, coupled with excellent written communication skills, is essential for this role. The ability to interact effectively with senior management and external stakeholders is also crucial.

To be eligible, it is essential that applicants hold Permanent Residency and have the ability to obtain and maintain a national police check.
