We are seeking a seasoned product designer to spearhead the creation of a unified user experience across our software suite.

About the Role
  • As the first dedicated Senior Product Designer, you will lead the end-to-end design of a cohesive user experience that seamlessly integrates developer tools, configuration UIs, and analytics dashboards.
  • You will play a key role in shaping how users interact with our systems across various industries, including defence, autonomy, maritime, and energy.

In this foundational role, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of a new UX system from the ground up and grow a small but impactful design function around you.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Define and maintain a consistent design language that promotes scalability and cross-platform alignment.
  • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and customers to understand technical requirements and user needs, and translate them into clear interaction models and intuitive designs.
  • Build prototypes to test and validate design decisions early and often with real users.
  • Partner with engineering to ensure high-quality implementation of designs and provide ongoing design support throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Drive cross-functional UX discovery workshops, mapping user journeys, personas, and workflows for different customer segments.
  • Contribute to roadmap planning by identifying UX gaps, usability opportunities, and product cohesion challenges.
  • Take a leading role in hiring and mentoring future designers as the team grows.
Requirements
  • A degree in interaction design, HCI, UX, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or similar.
  • Ability to create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and detailed visual specs.
  • Strong UX research practices and familiarity with usability testing.
  • Solid understanding of responsive design and front-end development constraints.
  • Clear communicator with the ability to explain design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • 5+ years of experience designing user interfaces for technical or enterprise-grade software.
  • Proven experience designing for tools, platforms, or complex B2B applications.
  • Experience in industries such as automotive, aerospace, defence, or industrial software is a strong plus.
  • Previous involvement in building or contributing to a design system.
  • Experience mentoring or leading other designers is desirable.
