Field Service Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our team in Darwin. As a Field Service Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers' equipment is maintained to the highest standard, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting mechanical repairs and maintenance of customer units, including preventative service and break-downs in a timely manner. They will also maintain professional level of customer service with all clients and customers, diagnose and repair material handling equipment, and conduct preventative maintenance services to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.

Additionally, they will respond to service calls efficiently, providing on-site technical support and troubleshooting, maintain accurate service records and reports, and communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions that exceed expectations.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Current Driver's licence.
  • Relevant trade qualification (Forklift Mechanic, Automotive Electrician/Light Vehicle Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle, Plant, Diesel Mechanic).
  • Previous experience within the forklift industry or similar in an associated industry.
  • Proven experience in servicing and maintaining material handling equipment or similar machinery.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
