
Dairy Farm Livestock Specialist

As a Senior Dairy Cattle Stockperson, you will play a crucial role in the milk production team of a dairy farm. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating all aspects of milk production, including milking shed routines, reproductive programs, and pasture management.
Duties and Responsibilities- Develop and manage pastures and crops for livestock production, creating optimized feeding plans to enhance productivity.
- Analyse produce quality to maintain high standards, ensuring consistency in every aspect of our operations.
- Oversee animal health programs, providing care for sick or injured animals and maintaining an optimal environment for their wellbeing in accordance with industry best practices.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance procedures, guaranteeing compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Operate milking plant and equipment safely, performing multiple functions such as reading instrument data, recording temperatures, and matching cow ID to calves to achieve excellent milk quality outcomes.
- Transport stock, feed, and equipment when required, provided appropriate licenses are held.
- AQF Certificate III in Agriculture / Dairy Production (or higher equivalent)
- At least three years of recent and relevant work experience in the field
