Payroll Coordinator Job Overview

The Payroll Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of the payroll cycle.

  • Oversees the end-to-end payroll process, guaranteeing precision and adherence to relevant legislation and policies.

  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and system enhancements.
Key Qualifications and Experience
  • Must have hands-on experience with Ascender Pay software.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering payroll services in complex, regulated environments.
  • A strong improvement mindset, with demonstrated ability to review processes, identify solutions, and implement efficient practices.
  • Sound knowledge of employment legislation, industrial instruments, and payroll compliance requirements.
  • Advanced Excel skills and data analysis expertise, with the ability to generate insights and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Strong customer focus, accountability, and confidence to challenge existing practices constructively.
