Schools Grounds Maintenance Specialist

As a key member of our school community, you will play an essential role in maintaining a safe, functional and welcoming environment that supports student learning and wellbeing. Working closely with the Principal, Business Manager or delegated leader, you will carry out a range of tasks to ensure the school's grounds and facilities are kept to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:- Support security duties at the school including using and maintaining the school security systems banking of school funds and locking and unlocking buildings.
- Assist with clearing and hosing of drains and gutters collection of waste food and paper on school grounds undertaking immediate action cleaning duties coordinating the removal and/or disposal of rubbish as required and assist with requirements for significant events such as fetes plays and major sporting events.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements including maintenance of a safe work environment safe storage and handling of chemicals fertilisers and fuel bringing to appropriate attention any safety hazards managing equipment records and maintaining tools and equipment for repair services.
