Foster Family Support Specialist
About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Foster Family Support Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will work directly with foster families to provide support and guidance in caring for children and young people.
The role involves assessing the needs of each family and developing strategies to strengthen their capacity to care for children. This includes working closely with community organizations, government agencies and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting families.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to build strong relationships with families and have experience working in a similar role. A background in social work or a related field would be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities:- Assess the needs of each foster family and develop strategies to strengthen their capacity to care for children
- Work closely with community organizations, government agencies and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting families
- Provide guidance and support to foster families on child development, behavior management and other relevant topics
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in a similar role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A current Working with Children Check and National Police Record Check
