Construction Supervisor - Rail Infrastructure

Position Overview:

In this pivotal role, you will report directly to the Track Superintendent and be responsible for overseeing rail infrastructure maintenance and renewal initiatives within the operational facilities. As the leader of a dedicated team, you will be equipped with the necessary tools and resources to ensure the seamless operation of the rail business and the successful execution of growth projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise rail infrastructure maintenance tasks, including resleepering, rerailing, turnout construction, ballasting, tamping, and rail welding and grinding.
  • Lead a small team to meet project targets, deadlines, and quality benchmarks that align with organizational standards.
  • Mentor and guide team members in their professional and personal development.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Candidate Profile:

  • Mandatory: Certificate III in Rail Infrastructure.
  • Mandatory: Current Class C & HR Driver Licence.
  • Preferred: Extensive experience in the rail sector and civil track construction.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a small team and a flexible, diligent approach.
  • Strong commitment to safety and an understanding of its significance in the workplace.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Motivated to cultivate a cohesive team environment and promote inclusivity.
  • Willingness to travel as required by the role.
