Role Overview:

As a pivotal member of our operations, you will report directly to the Track Superintendent and be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and renewal of rail infrastructure across various locations. Leading a dedicated team, you will ensure the smooth operation of our rail services while managing growth projects to fulfill our organizational objectives. This role involves a 10/4 roster, with travel to project sites as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage rail infrastructure maintenance tasks, including resleepering, rerailing, turnout construction, ballasting, tamping, and rail welding and grinding.
  • Lead and direct a small team to meet project deadlines and quality benchmarks in alignment with company standards.
  • Mentor and support team members in their professional and personal development.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Candidate Profile:

  • Mandatory Certificate III in Rail Infrastructure.
  • Current Class C & HR Driver Licence is essential.
  • Preferred extensive experience in the rail sector and civil track construction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a small team and demonstrate a flexible, diligent approach.
  • Strong commitment to safety and an understanding of its significance in the workplace.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Driven to cultivate a cohesive team environment and promote inclusivity.
  • Willingness to meet travel requirements associated with the role.
