This role is ideal for experienced electrical technicians who want to work on maintaining and servicing utility scale battery sites. The successful candidate will join a team of skilled technicians supporting battery storage sites located within the Wallgrove and Smithfield region.

Job Description:

The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing equipment as defined by the service engineering team, performing complex and precise electro-mechanical debug, rework and repair, and completing tasks requiring a high level of skill and patience.

The technician must be comfortable working with Medium and High Voltage environments while maintaining a safety focus. They will also operate a variety of hand tools, power tools and LV/MV/HV test equipment for diagnosis and troubleshooting.

Key Requirements:

  • Certified Electrician (Cert III (3)+ in Electrical/Electro Technology)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience, with at least 3 years' electrical experience within the Utility sector (Solar/Wind experience is preferred)
  • Must have up to date Electrical Registration/License
  • Must have HV switching certification and experience

The successful candidate will be able to work from complex and detailed documentation and/or verbal and written instructions depending on situation. They must also be reliable, have good initiative, committed, and quality focused.
