Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking an accomplished professional to join our team as a Principal Risk Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for embedding a culture of risk-based decision making into the company's health, safety and environment strategy.

The role involves leading the implementation of the company's risk framework within operations, maintaining the operations risk profile, and participating in business-critical risk assessments. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of the internal audit schedule and the 5-year plan, ensuring integration with risk management outcomes and the HSE strategy.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Embedding a culture of risk-based decision making into the company's HSE strategy
  • Leading the implementation of the company's risk framework within operations
  • Maintaining the operations risk profile
  • Participating in business-critical risk assessments
  • Contributing to the development of the internal audit schedule
  • Contributing to the development of the 5-year plan
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Science, Environmental, or Risk Management
  • Experience in risk/heavy industry/mining (preferred)
  • Risk Management systems development and implementation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills
