Job Title: Quality Assurance and Deployment Manager

The role of the Quality Assurance and Deployment Manager is crucial to ensuring that all projects are delivered with precision, efficiency, and measurable outcomes.

This leadership position oversees testing and deployment activities across all projects, driving organisational growth, efficiency, and innovation. The incumbent supports business/delivery/transformation teams to deliver high-quality outcomes across all projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive test governance and release strategy in alignment with delivery governance.
  • Provide direction and hands-on support to project managers and product owners for test delivery, monitoring, and reporting, ensuring projects' testing frameworks align with organisational objectives.
  • Develop and manage release schedules, working closely with teams to ensure seamless deployments with minimal disruption.
  • Support the Head of Delivery and Data Governance, project managers in all phases of delivery, including test planning, resource allocation, and RAID management to enable successful execution of testing and releases.
  • Evaluate project/program performance metrics and guide continuous improvement efforts to ensure projects add value to the organisation.
  • Ensure compliance with Australian security, privacy laws, and industry standards while implementing robust test delivery and release standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • ISTQB certification or similar
  • Knowledge of Test Management tools (Jira/HP ALM etc)
  • Knowledge of Automation Tools
  • Demonstrated expertise in Testing delivery (agile and waterfall)
  • Experience leading testing teams and managing test governance
