About this Role

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to fill a Therapeutic Youth Worker position within our Intensive Therapeutic Care (ITC) team.

This permanent part-time role offers the opportunity to support children and young people who require alternative care arrangements due to trauma, abuse, or neglect.

  • Provide daily care in a safe and structured environment that fosters growth and development
  • Support young people in developing essential life skills, emotional regulation, and positive relationships
  • Assist with daily tasks, health, education, and recreation

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Implement Behavioural Support Plans and therapeutic practices aligned with best-practice models
  2. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure duty of care, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity are upheld
  3. Maintain accurate records and logs via digital systems

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Community Services or related field – or willingness to obtain (RPL may apply)
  • Experience working with children or young people, preferably in residential or trauma-informed settings
  • Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal communities and cultures in NSW
  • Ability to advocate for and support diverse families
