Physiotherapy Professional

We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team in Newcastle. The ideal candidate will be able to deliver high-quality, patient-centered physiotherapy care in accordance with AHPRA and the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.

  • This is a temporary full-time position for 12 months, with 1 x 4 positions available.
Key Responsibilities
  • Able to assess, plan, organise, evaluate and deliver quality, patient-centred physiotherapy care.
  • Conduct thorough, systematic assessments addressing client issues and concerns, including referral to other services as required.
  • Demonstrate clinical judgement in using assessment findings and evidence-based knowledge to formulate individualised treatment plans across core areas of physiotherapy.
  • Provide information and consult with the client about the treatment plan.
  • Deliver effective treatment and provide the client with self-management skills.
  • Reassess client and progress treatment when appropriate.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A recognised degree in Physiotherapy and authorisation to practice by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) by February 2026; ability to work weekends and secondments.
  • Demonstrated competence and good clinical judgement in providing individualised treatment for a broad range of clients.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of the multidisciplinary and physiotherapy teams.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support a diverse population.
  • Ability to seek assistance and recognise professional limitations.
  • Commitment to personal responsibilities, professional development and evidence-based practice.
Benefits and Remuneration
  • Salary Classification: Physiotherapist Level 1 Year 2.
  • Remuneration: $38.36 per hour + superannuation + annual leave loading + salary packaging options + RDOs.

The Role

This role involves delivering prompt, evidence-based patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team in inpatient and outpatient settings with emphasis on general medicine and cancer care.
