Laing O'Rourke is one of the largest international engineering and construction companies in the world. Our team at Select Plant Australia plays a vital role in delivering high-quality projects to clients across various industries.
We are currently seeking an experienced Yard Operations Coordinator to join our dynamic team at Select Plant Australia's Laverton North Depot. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity that will see you working closely with our workshop supervisor and maintenance team to ensure the smooth operation of our yard and stores area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the receipt and dispatch of plant and equipment, ensuring timely delivery to clients and effective storage within the depot.
- Inspect incoming deliveries for damage or discrepancies, reporting any issues to the relevant parties.
- Complete accurate documentation for outgoing goods, including delivery dockets and inventory management records.
- Pack and load goods for internal and external customers, maintaining a safe and efficient workflow.
- Assist tradespersons with tasks such as loading and unloading equipment, and completing pre-start checks on plant and machinery.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stocktaking, and tracking of workshop consumables.
- Identify and report machinery faults and safety concerns to the workshop supervisor.
- Ensure yard access is managed efficiently, coordinating traffic flow to minimize congestion and maintain a safe working environment.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. A minimum 5+ years' experience in a similar role, preferably in logistics, plant hire, or construction, is essential. You'll also require a valid Australian driver's licence (manual C class) and an Australian Construction Induction Card (White Card).
Australian Working Rights and a Forklift ticket are also mandatory. Intermediate computer literacy and physical fitness are desirable traits for this position. Successful candidates will be required to undergo a national criminal history check and a pre-employment medical.
Estimated Salary Range:$65,000 - $85,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications.
