Drive Strategic Communications

As a Senior Project Engagement Advisor, you will play a key role in shaping strategic communications for high-risk infrastructure projects across North Queensland.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on infrastructure delivery in the region and lead with purpose.

  • Provide expert advice on issues management, stakeholder engagement, and risk assessment to senior leaders and project teams.
  • Build strong relationships with government representatives, community organisations, and key stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement communication strategies for high-risk infrastructure projects, including preparing media releases, newsletters, and speech notes.
  • Coordinate community consultations, road openings, media events, and other activities to support QTRIP delivery.
  • Monitor regional projects to identify emerging trends and communication risks.
  • Prepare high-quality executive correspondence, reports, and briefing materials while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
Leadership Opportunities

Qualifications and Skills

While qualifications are not mandatory, a degree in communications, public relations, journalism or marketing would be highly desirable. The preferred candidate will have proven experience in communications, PR, or related field, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong leadership and team management abilities.
