Job Description: Control Systems Engineer

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Control Systems Engineer to join our services team in Brisbane. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, developing, commissioning, and maintaining control systems to ensure the successful operation of critical processes in resources and manufacturing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and commissioning of control systems for greenfield and brownfield projects in collaboration with client-based engineering teams
  • Client site visits for initial scope and then for future work
  • Development of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) software
  • Provide technical advice in system integration, testing, and commissioning
  • Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues to ensure optimal performance
  • Participate in continuous improvement and enhancement processes with multidisciplinary teams

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or similar field
  • Experience in an engineering services company
  • Proficiency in PLC and HMI programming
  • Knowledge of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems and control system hardware
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
